Since there is no on-site lodging at the Retreat venue and no large hotels in the area, we consider this an OFF-SITE Retreat,
with retreatants arranging for their own hotel rooms and own transportation to/from and
during the Retreat.
We have negotiated special rates at several hotels. It is essential to book early if you
want to be at the closest hotels. There are plenty of hotels, so you will be able to find
a room regardless of when you book, but over time the hotels with vacancies will be farther
away from the program site.
We recommend that even local attendees stay at nearby hotels rather than at home in order
to be able to immerse themselves in Amma's program which has long hours, morning to late night.
You can, of course, come and go as you like.

RV Accomodations
There are RV lots that are part of the facility we are using for the program.
The lots are for self-contained RVs only (such as with a bathroom). Each
site has water,
power and sewer. The cost is $20/night if you register in
advance. To register,
call 253 841-5057 or email vicky@thefair.com. If you register in the
lot it is $25/night.
There will not be any shuttle transportation provided during the
retreat, so devotees will need to
rely on making their own transportation
arrangements and sharing rides with each other. If you like, you may use Amma's Travel Exchange
to find devotees with whom to share rooms and/or transportation.
Taxi Service
You may opt to use/share taxis when riding to/from
your hotel and the retreat.

Getting from Amma's Public Program to Amma's Retreat
You can either take a towncar, a shared van or find someone at the program who can give you a ride.
The NW Welcome Table at Amma's Program will have a ride board to facilitate ride sharing.
Another option is to take a downtown airporter bus and shuttle. The best and cheapest public
transport option is to take the Sounder speed train from downtown Seattle to Puyallup.
The regular Pierce Transit bus service is not a very feasible option due to long waits and
multiple transfers. See details for all these options below.
Downtown airporter bus
Take a Grayline Bus from one of the Seattle downtown hotels to the SeaTac Airport (for $14),
then take the Capitol Aeroporter Shuttle at the airport to your retreat hotel in Puyallup ($33).

Sounder speed train
This is a commuter train and is only available if traveling on a weekday:
Take a cab or bus or get a ride from Seattle Center hotels to King St Train Station in downtown Seattle. Take the Sounder speed train to Puyallup Station. Walk 1/2 mile along Meridian Ave to 9th Ave SW where the Amma Program at Puyallup Fairgrounds is located. Take a short cab ride to your Puyallup area hotel.
